Do you and your parents share religious beliefs? What are your beliefs and what are your parents'? Is it a big part of your relationship or does it hardly matter at all?

    Just something I was wondering.

No. I'm an Atheist, and they're Catholic. It's not a big part of our relationship, but my dad does tend to randomly come in my room and tell me "Jesus loves you" on a daily basis... Disgust

I think I might be a little bit more religious than my parents. None of us go to church, but I pray almost everyday.

    My Mum is a Atheist-but-calls-herself-randomly-Protestant-because-of-football-issues.

My biological father is an Atheist-but-gets-called-a-Catholic-by-his-Mummy.

    My step-dad is...atheist I think. I dunno.

My sister has little opinion on anything. :XD She doesn't care.

Me, I'm an atheist although I do tend to hero-worship the Doctor a little too much for my own sanity. Ah well.

I'm pretty sure my Dad is an atheist. My Mum likes to think she's Catholic but she never goes to Church. I'm a modern Catholic - that means I still do that stuff I'm not supposed to but I feel mildly guilty beforehand.

I'm sort of on a fine line between Christian and Agnostic. I'm probably closer to agnostic.
My mother is a Christian and my dad is as athiest as they come.
Religion has never got in the way in my family before.

I like to say my parents and I share a religion, though my beliefs tend to differ from my mom's. My dad and I discuss religion and our faith a lot though. I don't tell him about the more personal parts of my beliefs, but we discuss our religion and scriptures a fair amount. =)

My mom is Chistian but she believes in evolution and all that, non-practicing too. Which I guess isn't too different from myself :|

My dad, however, is Buddhist and he had me read Siddhartha a couple years ago. He's even taken me to go mediating in Buddhist temples before.

my dad was born Catholic b'cause my grandma [his mum] is strongly catholic.
however my mum isn't very . . . religious. I think she has a 'believe-if-you-want' attitude, which is basically what I've got.
'Cept my grandma still wants me to be Catholic.

No, nowhere close. My parents were both raised Catholic, but never go to church. While they're that religion, I'm a Wiccan. Neither of them care, though. Mom just says that as long a I still believe in God, it's alright. My younger sister wants to be Wiccan, but I think she's a bit more Catholic than anything.

Well I'm 'Sorta Catholic' you could say. ;3

    I don't go to church.
I think the only time I talk to Jesus is when I cuss out to the heaven almighty.
    :0 Yeah..

But both my dad & mom are Catholic as well. ;D You could say their 'holy' level is pretty much around mine.

My father, I have no idea what religion he is. I never see him.

My mother is a non-strict Baptist but apparently she's been getting more into it because she won't shut up about God lately.and that I should try and accept him

    I'm atheist.

My little sister is just impressionable right now so she's Christian.

My ex step-dad (my sisters dad) is a reborn Christian (but a not that strict of one. he goes to church every sunday though)

    I'm agnostic.

My parents are Catholic, tending towards agnosticism as well. As for my sister, well, she's still figuring out what she believes, I think.

Both my biological parents were Roman Catholic hence I was raised that way, as to instill Catholic morality into me. My father wanted me to have a proper Catholic education, he was keen on it. As an atheist, I'm not going to deny it really helped me, because otherwise I would be rather ignorant of the religion, as well as some of the other religions we covered in class. Even if it was brief it taught me to open-minded to interpretation and respect other people's views. Also, have a better understanding of religion and its basis allowed me to make an informed decision about my departure from my religion. I honestly do not believe in God, but I do want my children to have a religion education, to know and be informed about it. To be ignorant to religion is to be ignorant to a lot of the world, because religion has had a great underlying influence in society and continues to do so. That's just my personal belief though.

Lawl. Same here. I did go through a stage when I turned my back on it though. Worst days of my life, and not because my parents knew. My parents and I are both Christians. But Christianity seems to leave a lot of room for interpretation, and my parents and I believe differently in quite a few areas of our faith.
